Chief Executive Officer / Co-Founder

Dr. Evosevich has more than 30 years of experience working in healthcare, mental health, with a specialization in addiction. He has successfully worked with men, women, adolescents, Veterans, and the LGBTQ community creating individualized care for people with substance abuse disorders. Dr. Evosevich frequently speaks at professional conferences and is a published author of professional articles and books on mental health and substance abuse.

Bryan Amaro, RN, CCRN

Chief Operating Officer / Co-Founder

Bryan is a San Diego State Bachelor’s prepared Critical Care Registered Nurse with a CCRN distinction. He has worked in ICU’s all over San Diego and has seen first hand the destruction addiction can cause. Bryan is a sought after speaker on addiction and works best with young adults seeking recovery.

Ryan Ley,  M.D.

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Ryan Ley is a Triple Board Certified Medical Doctor who comes to us with years of experience as an addiction psychiatrist. He is passionate about the recovery of those who suffer from substance abuse and has a vision of increasing the success rate of those entering treatment. Dr. Ley believes in Sober Life’s vision of making sobriety fun, hip, cool and brings his down to earth style into treating clients.

John Moisant, RADT

Director of Operations & Business Development

John is a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He graduated Basic Training with the highest overall standing while leading his unit there and then aboard USCGC Morgenthau. After transitioning to the civilian sector John held management positions across several industries amassing over a decade of leadership experience. His affinity for analytics and problem solving coupled with his passion for recovery make him invaluable to our community.

Ryann Townson, MA, LMFT

Licensed Clinical Therapist

Ryann was born and raised in Long Beach, CA. She completed her MA in Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy in 2005 at San Diego State University. She earned her license in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2013 and has been providing individual, group therapy, consultation treatment intervention to individuals, couples and families impacted by emotional/mood disorders, co-occurring substance use, process addiction disorders, personality, adjustment and other family/social systemic conditions. Ryann aspires to provide a collaborative, authentic, therapeutic relationship that fosters growth and optimal wellness. She believes that change is constant and inevitable and that true growth requires change!

Sean Brannan, CHT, LMFT

Licensed Clinical Therapist

Sean Brannan is a certified cognitive-behavioral hypnotherapist, and licensed marriage & family therapist. He is the owner of a private practice counseling agency and has previously worked as a certified anger management/domestic violence facilitator. Sean is also an award-winning abstract artist who has taught art and has led art workshops for adults and At-Risk youth throughout his career. He is passionate about counseling psychology and the healing arts profession.

Jessica DeJulio

Chief Compliance Officer

Jessica has extensive compliance experience in the behavioral health and substance abuse treatment industry. She has directed facilities in on-site State audits and Joint Commission surveys for 20+ organizations throughout California with a 100% success rate in DHCS Certification and Joint Commission Accreditation acquisition. Jessica has expertise in regulatory compliance, quality assurance, performance improvement, and facilitating in-service training for personnel.

Dustin Kessler, BA, CADC-II

Client Care Coordinator Lead

Dustin has been working in addiction treatment for over 6 years, with a BA in Psychology and over 8 years of his own personal recovery journey. He prefers to think of this profession as a calling and purpose in life. His vision of helping others shines with a passion for those struggling with addiction and mental health. Providing a safe, authentic place to work through issues is paramount and supporting you to find a future of self-determination, acceptance, hope, and excitement for the life to come that recovery has to offer.

 

Janaya Shorty, BA, CADC-II

Client Care Coordinator

Janaya is an experienced counselor who has worked with clients struggling from substance abuse addictions and various mental health illnesses. Janaya is passionate about advocating, serving, and meeting people where they are. With more than five years of experience in this field, Janaya utilizes her knowledge from CSU Fullerton and applies it in both professional and business practices. Her passion in life is to help individuals discover their core values, identify their barriers and assist them with getting back on their feet. Janaya prides herself on remaining humbled by each individual’s unique real-life experiences and remaining non-judgmental.

Kellee Waters BS, RDAT

Client Care Coordinator

Kellee has always enjoyed people, working with others to be the best versions of themselves and having fun while doing just that. She had a rewarding career in the Hospitality Industry managing and opening bars and restaurants for 5-star world-class resorts. She recently decided to get back to her Psychology roots and building on her BS in Psychology from SDSU is attending the UCSD Drug and Alcohol Counseling Program. She is passionate about continuing education and making the world a better place.

Sammy Joyce, RADT

Behavioral Health Technician

Sammy is one of the first faces you’ll see when you come to Sober Life. She is living proof that this program works if you’re committed, willing, honest, and thorough. Sammy was the first to graduate from Sober Life and is now a certified RADT, working with others struggling with addiction. She has a big heart for people and wants nothing but the best and success for others struggling. She brings a vibrant and positive energy to treatment and focuses on demonstrating through her own experiences that a sober life can be a fun, beautiful, and wonderful thing.

 

Arianna Zabriskie, MA, AMFT

Clinical Therapist / Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Arianna Zabriskie is a Colorado State University graduate with dual bachelors of science in Psychology and Human Development and Family Studies. Arianna has a masters of art in Clinical Psychology with a Marriage and Family Therapy emphasis from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Arianna works from a mindfulness approach integrated with a cognitive behavioral therapy lens. Arianna has been treating individuals working through substance abuse, mental illness, and family dynamics since August, 2018.

 

Anthony Zelchick, MA, AMFT

Clinical Therapist / Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

University of Nevada Las Vegas graduate with a bachelor of arts in Psychology. Anthony has a masters of arts degree in marriage and family therapy from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology San Diego. Anthony has been working with the substance abuse population since August of 2018 using Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Carly graduated from Tulane University with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and has a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy. Carly began working with clients struggling with substance abuse and mental illness in August of 2018. Carly incorporates mindfulness as well as behavioral strategies into treatment to help clients find balance and comfort in their lives.

Psychotherapy has always been my passion. Providing individual and group psychotherapy to the LGBTQ community and clients experiencing substance use disorders, abuse, trauma, and mental illness empowered me to thrive professionally. During sessions, I focus on helping clients to understand their inner conflicts and find new ways to alleviate and deal with distress. I will also support them to make positive changes in the way they think and behave. I believe that practicing mindfulness and self-care will lead to a healthy and successful life. I am happy to be part of Sober Life to better serve the community at large.
